Brooks
Brooks Stairlifts is a UK-based manufacturer of a straight stairlift product. The company sells directly (i.e. not through dealers. Founded by former Dimler engineer Mr. Frederick Brooks, the company had a heartwarming naissance: Mr. Brooks' wife needed an aid to ascend their home staircase, a need to which Mr. Brooks responded by designing his first stairlift in 1972.
Products
Brooks manufactures only one stairlift model, one for straight stairs. Curved stairs, unfortunately, cannot be accommodated by this brand. The Brooks Lincoln stairlift is battery-powered.
Warranties
Parts and labour are covered for a period of 12 months; after which, if purchased, an extended warranty covers parts and labour a further four years.
